Artefact One - 二胡 (Er-Hu)
Description:
The 二胡 (Er-Hu) is one of the many traditional musical instruments invented in China. It is usually used grand orchestras or operas. It is believed to be introduced in China during the 10th Century. It is still used nowadays even for modern music.


Difference from modern form:
The modern form of the Er-Hu are mostly made out of synthetic materials manufactured by machines for mass-production. In the past, materials such as python skin are used to make the strings




Artefact Two - Chinese Opera Costumes
Description:
The Chinese Opera Costumes are used for performance in China dated way back to the 3rd Century. It is an early form of mass entertainment in China in the past, though still in existent, it is less frequently showcased.



Difference from modern form:
The modern day form has more art crafted onto the dress for a more attention grabbing effect. In the past, it is designed to look simpler.



Artefact Three - Porcelain Ware
Description:
These are porcelain ware which are used for dining in the past. It is very beautifully crafted and only most of the rich families during the dynasty era have possession of it.




Difference from modern form:
The modern form are manufactured by machines and not crafted manually, thus the appearance of the modern ware will look more refined.
